The series iimprint is concerned with the urban environment, where the city can be viewed as a matrix of trajectories, memories and athways fluctuating between control and chaos, linear structure and organic form. In the contemporary world, the city begins to lose its meaning, as cyberspace vies with face-to-face conversation to make communication expansive and rapid, yet more depersonalized, and less reliant on place. Do the new possibilities and freedoms of the digital era equally isolate, and the need to affirm ones own existence become even more necessary? In my work the digital and analogue compete for control of the city’s rich matrixes.
