My painting conveys an engagement with everyday occurrences where I am concerned with exploring a memory from a moment in time. In many ways what interests me are the small things in life: such as a shadow reflecting on a building, or an observation of a person in their environment. I attempt to imbue my work with an emotional and psychological quality that draws our attention to the relationship between things, people and ourselves.
